Sune Knudsen is programme director for the DDC’s focus on design and societal challenges, which explores the potential of Danish design to generate radically new solutions in areas such as future healthcare, the development of Smart Cities etc.
For the past nine years, Sune has worked as a manager and management consultant in the public sector developing projects, methods and institutions in the intersection of design, innovation and strategy, both on a national and an international basis, with a special focus on involving and creating results for citizens and users. His previous employments include Implement Consulting Group, the Danish Business Authority, the Danish Ministry of Employment and MindLab.
Sune holds a master’s degree in political sciences from the University of Copenhagen and has co-authored two books on change in the public sector, including Sæt borgeren i spil. Sådan involverer du borgere og virksomheder i offentlig innovation (Citizen involvement. Involving citizens and companies in public innovation). He is much in demand as a speaker, both in Denmark and abroad.
